Clients compare firms before they choose one.

Someone buying a house, sorting out an estate or bringing a tribunal claim wants to know quickly whether you can help, roughly what it will cost and whether they can trust you. A clear website answers all of that before they pick up the phone.

Price transparency is part of the job. The SRA Transparency Rules ask firms to publish cost information for a list of common services, to set out how to complain, and to show their SRA number and digital badge. We build those in from the start, written plainly and placed prominently.

Your team approves every word before it goes live, because your firm stays responsible for what the site says.

How much do you charge for conveyancing on a house purchase in Leeds?

Your Firm publishes its residential conveyancing prices on the conveyancing page, including what's covered, likely disbursements and VAT. I can't give legal advice, but I can take your details so a member of the team can call you about your purchase.

Illustration. The assistant points to the prices you publish and passes enquiries to your team. It never gives legal advice.

What the SRA expects on your website.

A plain summary of the SRA Transparency Rules, linked below. It isn't legal advice: your firm stays responsible for what the site says, and the SRA's own pages are the final word.

How AI helps a law firm, within the rules.

It handles the first questions, and your team gives the advice.

  • Answers the practical questionsOffice hours, locations, the services you offer, the prices you publish and how to get started.
  • Never gives legal adviceIt doesn't assess a case, predict an outcome or tell anyone what to do. It passes them to your team.
  • Points to your published pricesAsked what conveyancing costs? It sends the client to the cost information you publish, so every answer matches.
  • Takes enquiry details for your checksName, contact details and the type of matter, so your team can run conflict checks before anyone gives advice.
  • Always says it's an AIClients know it's an AI, and can ask for someone from the firm to call them.
  • Kept in step with your pricesWhen a price changes or a solicitor joins, we update the cost pages and the assistant together, so both give the same figures.

What firms ask before they start.

What does the SRA require on a law firm website?

Under the SRA Transparency Rules, firms that publicise certain common services publish cost information for them. They also publish their complaints procedure, including how and when to complain to the Legal Ombudsman and the SRA, and display their SRA number and digital badge in a prominent place. This is a summary; the SRA's own pages are the final word.

Which services need published prices?

For individuals: residential conveyancing, uncontested probate, immigration applications and appeals (not asylum), summary-only road traffic offences and employees' unfair or wrongful dismissal claims. For businesses: defending those dismissal claims, debt recovery up to £100,000 and licensing applications for business premises. The rule doesn't apply to publicly funded work.

Will the AI assistant give legal advice?

No. It answers practical questions such as office hours, locations, the services you offer and the prices you publish. It never assesses a case or suggests what someone should do. It takes the enquirer's details and passes them to your team.

How much does a law firm website cost?

Nothing for the first 14 days. Then the Website plan is from £149 a month for the first 100 businesses, a founding price locked for life, and from £299 a month after that. Hosting, SSL, daily backups and updates are included, and you can cancel any time.

Can you add the SRA digital badge?

Yes. The SRA's badge only works on a website linked to your firm's mySRA account, so you record your web address in mySRA first. Then we add the badge and your SRA number in a prominent place on the site.

Who writes the content?

We write it from what you tell us, in plain English, and a solicitor at your firm approves it before it goes live. Your firm stays responsible for what the site says.
