Example inputs, not market averages or a quote from a named freelancer. Replace them with a written quote for the same agreed scope. All figures exclude VAT where applicable; use the same tax basis on both sides. Domain renewals, specialist features and optional campaigns are excluded from both totals: add their actual costs if they differ.

Is the monthly payment just “website rent”?
You are paying for a managed service as well as the build. There is no upfront build fee on the Website plan, and the trial lets you assess a real website before paying. After launch, the hosting, backups, updates and support continue.
That changes the decision from “What does a site cost to build?” to “What will it cost to keep the result I need?” A low project quote with a comprehensive care agreement deserves a fair comparison too. Enter it above.
Know what stays with you.
Your domain is registered in your business’s name and goes with you. You can request an export of your content. The website build, design and our tooling remain Buzzozo’s unless you agree a separately quoted buy-out. Hosting and management would then be separate.
Cancel any time. The service runs to the end of the month already paid for; partial months are not refunded. These details matter as much as the total. Read the cancellation and buy-out terms.

Is Buzzozo worth £149 a month?
For a business that wants its website designed, written, hosted and cared for, the monthly plan brings those jobs together. Compare the complete scope against a written freelancer quote. The founding Website price starts at £149 a month for the first 100 businesses, kept while you stay on the same plan; it starts at £299 after that. VAT applies where applicable.
Is renting a website more expensive than buying?
It depends on the build quote, running costs, changes and how long you keep it. Buying a build does not automatically buy future care. A managed plan spreads the cost and keeps support in the arrangement. Use the calculator with your own figures; it does not promise that Buzzozo is always the lowest total.
What happens if I cancel Buzzozo?
Cancel any time. Services continue until the end of the month already paid for, without partial-month refunds. Your domain goes with you and you can request your content export. The site build stays with Buzzozo unless you agree a separately quoted buy-out; hosting and management are then separate. See our terms.
What should I ask a freelancer to include?
Ask for design, copy, responsive build, contact forms, on-page SEO, structured data, hosting, SSL, daily backups, security, software updates, support and a defined change allowance. Confirm exclusions, VAT, domain renewal, ownership, handover and any buy-out in writing. Do not count hosting twice if maintenance already includes it.
Does the monthly price include every future change?
No. The Website plan includes a defined allowance for small changes on request. Work beyond the agreed scope is quoted before it starts. Ongoing SEO campaigns, stores, complex bookings and custom integrations need their own agreed scope and price.
Can I try the website before paying?
Yes. Buzzozo builds a real website for a 14-day free trial. No card needed. An AI chat assistant is included during the trial. If you do not continue, the trial services stop and you owe nothing. A trial does not transfer ownership of the build.
