What does a Cheshire customer check before they get in touch?
Cheshire runs from the Mersey estuary in the north to the Shropshire border in the south, and on its west side it meets the Welsh counties of Flintshire and Wrexham. About 1.14 million people lived in the county in 2024, and its largest settlement is Warrington (Cheshire (read 30 October 2026)). For local government it is four unitary areas, not one: Cheshire East and Cheshire West and Chester replaced the county council in April 2009, and Halton and Warrington have run their own affairs since April 1998 while staying part of the ceremonial county (Cheshire (read 30 October 2026)).
Most of the land is the Cheshire Plain, flat country used mainly for dairy farming, which gives it a landscape of hedged fields (Cheshire Plain (read 30 October 2026)). That shape matters for a small business website. One search for an accountant, a joiner or a wedding venue can come from a flat inside the Chester walls, a semi in Crewe, a farmhouse near Nantwich or an office park in Birchwood. Each of those people wants to know three things fast: what you do, whether you cover their town or village, and how to reach you today. For our wider service, see web design for small businesses, and for other areas, all our locations.
From the Chester Rows to the Mersey Gateway: what is your customer deciding?
| Chester and the Rows | A visitor or shopper choosing where to spend the afternoon. Chester began as the Roman fort of Deva Victrix, and its city walls are almost complete and Grade I listed. In the Rows, shops, cafés and offices sit on two levels, with a covered walkway on the first floor. A business up there should say which Row and which level it is on, so a visitor finds the right stairs. Chester Zoo, the most-visited wildlife attraction in Britain, brings day-trippers who search on their phones before and after. |
|---|---|
| Warrington and Birchwood | A business buyer comparing suppliers. Warrington is the largest town in the ceremonial county. It was designated a new town in 1968, and Birchwood grew on the former ROF Risley site. Firms selling to other businesses here need a website that names the sectors they serve, shows how a quote request works and lists who answers it. |
| Crewe and Nantwich | An engineer, a trade customer or a weekend visitor. Crewe exists because of its railway station, opened in 1837, and Bentley cars are built at its Pyms Lane factory. Four miles away, Nantwich was the county’s main salt town in the Middle Ages and has one of the highest concentrations of listed buildings in England. A Crewe supplier and a Nantwich tea room need very different first screens; the website should match the job its customer has in mind. |
| Macclesfield, Congleton and the east | A client looking for a specialist. Macclesfield grew as a silk town and today counts pharmaceuticals among its industries. Congleton had an early silk throwing mill, built in 1753. Specialist and professional firms on this side of the county should explain their expertise in plain words and show the qualifications a client can check. |
| Wilmslow, Knutsford and the Manchester edge | A household or a commuter hiring help. King Street in Knutsford leads to an entrance to Tatton Park. From Wilmslow, the Styal Line runs to Manchester Piccadilly by way of Manchester Airport. Tutors, cleaners, garden designers and home trades serving these streets should say how quickly they reply and offer a booking route that works in the evening. |
| Northwich, Winsford and the salt country | A local customer who wants someone nearby. The Romans worked salt around Northwich, then called Condate, and Winsford grew around salt mining once the River Weaver was made navigable. Trades and shops in mid Cheshire should list the towns and villages they reach, any call-out charge, and the days they are out. |
| Ellesmere Port, Runcorn and Widnes | A shift worker or a shopper from across the Mersey. Ellesmere Port keeps large industries, including the Stanlow oil refinery and the Vauxhall car plant, alongside the National Waterways Museum and Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet. Runcorn and Widnes face each other over the Mersey, linked since October 2017 by the Mersey Gateway bridge. Opening hours that suit shift patterns, and a clear note of which side of the river you cover, spare customers a phone call. |

How do we plan for farms, makers, visitor businesses and cross-border trade?
Dairy farms and food producers: the plain’s dairy farming feeds a long food tradition. Cheshire cheese is one of the oldest named cheeses recorded in British history (Cheshire cheese (read 30 October 2026)), and salt from the Nantwich area has long gone into it (Nantwich (read 30 October 2026)). A farm shop, a cheesemaker or a butcher needs a website that says what is in stock this week, when the shop is open and whether it delivers or posts.
Makers and engineers: Bentley builds most of its cars at its Crewe factory (Bentley Motors (read 30 October 2026)), and Widnes is still a major maker of chemicals, though its economy is now mostly services (Widnes (read 30 October 2026)). Firms in those supply chains should state their certifications, capacity and lead times on the page, so a buyer can shortlist them without a call.
Visitor businesses: Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington runs the Visit Cheshire visitor economy work (Enterprise Cheshire and Warrington (read 30 October 2026)), and in 2019 Jodrell Bank Observatory became a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Jodrell Bank Observatory (read 30 October 2026)). Cafés, guest houses and activity firms near the attractions should publish seasonal hours, parking and booking details well before the busy weekends.
Trade across the Welsh border: Cheshire shares its western border with Flintshire and Wrexham, and the county has a long history of links with North Wales (Cheshire (read 30 October 2026)). If you serve customers on both sides, your website should say so, and we can publish a Welsh-language page from text you supply or approve. Our websites for trades cover service-area pages in more detail.
How do we serve Cheshire from Ilford?
Buzzozo Ltd works from 1022 Eastern Avenue, Ilford IG2 7SE, in east London; that is the address in our company details. We have no Cheshire office or branch, and this page does not claim local clients, site visits or results. All the work happens remotely: you reach us by phone, WhatsApp and email, and each draft comes to you as a link you can open on your own phone or laptop. Most projects never need a meeting. If you would like one in person, ask, and we will say honestly what we can arrange.
- Name your towns. Cheshire is too big to cover by saying “Cheshire”. List the towns, villages and postcode districts you really work in, and where your area ends. A Northwich plumber has no need to claim Warrington to look bigger.
- Pick one main action. A call, a quote form, a table booking or the booking tool you already use. Tell us which phone and which inbox should get each enquiry.
- Sign off every local detail. The business owner approves place names, services, photos, opening hours and any Welsh-language text before it goes live. We never invent reviews, results or evidence to fill a gap.
- Try the real website. For 14 days you have a working website to test on your own phone and laptop, free, with no card needed. You can cancel any time.
- Tell us when things change. We run Buzzozo cloud hosting, SSL and software upkeep. Send new prices, seasonal hours or show-day stock to us; work beyond the plan’s agreed scope is quoted before we start.
For instance, a Nantwich farm shop might lead with this week’s stock and its opening hours. A Runcorn electrician might ask for the town, the job and a photo in its quote form. These are planning examples, not named projects or promised outcomes.
Try your own website free for 14 days, no card needed. If you already have a website, tell us which enquiry routes to keep.
What does the fixed £149 a month include?
The Website plan is £149 a month, fixed, for the first 100 businesses, and the price is kept for life. It is monthly with no contract, so you can cancel any time. Our prices exclude VAT where applicable. Larger or more complex websites are quoted. The first 14 days are free, no card needed.
The table compares the plan with what premium providers typically charge when each service is bought separately. These figures are rounded from UK list prices we checked on 28 and 29 October 2026. They are a guide, not a quote, and providers change their prices.
| Service | Typical premium cost bought separately | Buzzozo Website plan |
|---|---|---|
| Custom website design | Typically around £2,000 + VAT, paid before launch | Included. Designed, written and built for your business, with £0 upfront. |
| Managed hosting, SSL, CDN and backups | Usually a separate hosting bill, often paid a year ahead | Included. Buzzozo cloud hosting, SSL, CDN and daily backups. |
| Care plan: updates, security and fixes | Typically from about £50 a month | Included. Updates, security monitoring, fixes and UK support by phone, WhatsApp and email. |
| Website chat assistant | Typically about £45 a month per seat, paid yearly | Included, with the monthly usage allowance listed on our plans page. |
The plan covers the website and its management. Ongoing search campaigns, paid advertising, online stores and bespoke systems are scoped and priced separately. We do not promise rankings or enquiry numbers. See how a managed website works, or compare the plans.
Your Cheshire web design questions
Do you have a web design office in Cheshire?
No. Buzzozo Ltd is based at 1022 Eastern Avenue, Ilford IG2 7SE and works with Cheshire businesses remotely, by phone, WhatsApp and email. We do not claim a Cheshire office, branch, local client or visit on this page.
Which parts of Cheshire do you cover?
The whole county, remotely: Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Warrington and Halton, from Chester and Ellesmere Port to Crewe, Macclesfield, Northwich, Runcorn and Widnes. Your own website names only the places your business really serves.
What does the Website plan cost?
£149 a month, fixed, for the first 100 businesses, and that price is kept for life. Prices exclude VAT where applicable. Larger or more complex websites are quoted, and the plans page lists the full scope.
Can my website have a page in Welsh?
Yes, if you supply the text or approve our draft of it. The business owner signs off every language before it goes live, and each language sits on its own page so customers land on the one they read.
Can we meet in person?
Usually there is no need: we work by phone, WhatsApp and email, and drafts arrive for you to check on your own phone. If you would prefer to meet, ask, and we will tell you honestly what we can arrange from Ilford.
How does the free 14-day trial work?
We build a real website on our hosting for you to try. The first 14 days are free and no card is needed. Keep it and it stays live on your chosen plan; stop and it comes down, with nothing to pay. There is no contract, so you can cancel any time.
