What does a Shrewsbury customer check before they get in touch?

Shrewsbury is a market town and the county town of Shropshire, with 76,782 people in the parish at the 2021 census. The River Severn forms a meander around the centre, which keeps a largely undisturbed medieval street plan and over 660 listed buildings (Shrewsbury (read 30 October 2026)). Shropshire Council has been a unitary authority since 2009 and meets at the Guildhall on Frankwell Quay (Shropshire Council (read 30 October 2026)).

The town also serves as the commercial centre for Shropshire and parts of mid-Wales, and the Welsh border is 9 miles to the west (Shrewsbury (read 30 October 2026)). Beyond Telford and Shrewsbury the county is rural, with market towns such as Oswestry, Bridgnorth and Ludlow (Shropshire (read 30 October 2026)). So the same search for a plumber, an accountant or a café comes from a flat inside the loop, a family home in Monkmoor, a farm near Bayston Hill or a customer driving in from Wales. A website for this town has to say what you do, which of those places you cover and how to reach you today. For our wider service, see web design for small businesses, or every area we serve.

From Wyle Cop to Battlefield: what is your customer deciding?

Seven parts of Shrewsbury and its surroundings, seven customer decisions
The town centre: Pride Hill, Wyle Cop and the shutsA shopper trying to find your door. Many passages in the old centre run through buildings from one street to the next, and locals call them shuts. Wyle Cop is said to have the longest uninterrupted row of independent shops. A shop or café tucked down a passage should give the street it opens onto, a map pin that matches the real door and today’s opening hours.
Shrewsbury Market HallA regular deciding which stall to visit. The Market Hall on Claremont Street hosts just over 70 independent businesses, from grocers and butchers to cafés, and it has been voted Britain’s Favourite Market several times. A stallholder needs a simple page with trading days, what is on the counter this week and whether it takes orders for collection.
Frankwell and the Welsh BridgeA theatre-goer or a visitor checking the river. Frankwell is one of the town’s oldest suburbs and grew up as a trading place on the road to Wales. It flooded three times in six weeks in autumn 2000, and its flood defences were completed in 2003. Theatre Severn stands next to the Welsh Bridge. Riverside restaurants and venues should show pre-show times and post changes on the website the moment the river affects them.
Abbey Foregate, the English Bridge and the business parkA visitor or a business buyer coming in from the A5. Shrewsbury Abbey was founded in 1083, and the English Bridge has crossed the Severn here since at least Norman times. Shrewsbury Business Park sits by the A5 in the south-east. Guest houses, pubs and suppliers on this side of town should give parking, access and directions from the bypass, not only a postcode.
Ditherington, Harlescott and BattlefieldA trade buyer or a farmer heading north of the town. The Flaxmill Maltings in Ditherington was the first iron-framed building in the world. Harlescott is one of the most industrial parts of the town, Battlefield Enterprise Park lies to the north, and the town’s livestock market is at Battlefield. Trades and suppliers here should list stock, collection hours, delivery areas and how to open an account.
Monkmoor and Meole BraceA household hiring help at home. Much of Monkmoor is residential, with around 1,900 households. Meole Brace has a large retail park, and its older part, Meole Village, keeps a village feel. Cleaners, tutors, decorators and gardeners working these streets should name the roads they cover, link to reviews customers can check and say how quickly they reply.
Bayston Hill and the villagesA rural customer checking you will travel out. Bayston Hill is a village 3 miles south of the town on the A49, and much of Shropshire beyond the town is rural. Mobile trades, vets and home-care firms should list the villages they reach, any call-out charge and the days they are out, so nobody has to phone just to ask.

How do we plan for independents, Welsh customers, commuters and families?

Independent shops, cafés and hospitality: Shrewsbury is home to a high number of independent businesses, and four in five jobs in the town are in the service industry, where the largest employers are administration and distribution, including retail, food and accommodation (Shrewsbury (read 30 October 2026)). An independent cannot outspend a chain, so its website has to answer faster: what it sells, when it is open and how to book or order.

Customers from Wales: back in the 16th century William Camden wrote that Shrewsbury is inhabited both by Welsh and English, and today trains from Shrewsbury run to Holyhead, Cardiff, Carmarthen and Aberystwyth (Shrewsbury (read 30 October 2026); Shrewsbury railway station (read 30 October 2026)). If many of your customers come in from mid-Wales, say so plainly, give travel and parking details, and, if you want one, add a page in Welsh from text you supply or approve.

Commuters and new homes: the town is a popular place from which to commute to Telford, Wolverhampton and Birmingham, and many new homes are being built (Shrewsbury (read 30 October 2026)). Customers who leave town for work need a booking or callback route that works in the evening and at weekends, with a clear promise of when you will reply.

Schools and families: Shrewsbury School sits in Kingsland, just south of the centre, overlooking the loop of the Severn, and further education is provided by the Shrewsbury Colleges Group, formed in 2016 (Shrewsbury (read 30 October 2026); Shrewsbury School (read 30 October 2026)). Tutors, clubs, uniform suppliers and family transport should plan their pages around term dates and show prices a parent can compare at a glance. Our websites for trades follow the same plain approach for working firms.

How do we serve Shrewsbury from Ilford?

Buzzozo Ltd works from 1022 Eastern Avenue, Ilford IG2 7SE, in east London; that is the address in our company details. We do not have a Shrewsbury office or branch, and nothing on this page claims local clients, site visits or results. The work runs remotely: you talk to us by phone, WhatsApp and email, and every draft arrives as a link you open on your own phone or laptop. Most projects never need a meeting. If you want one in person, ask, and we will tell you plainly what we can arrange.

  1. Mark the area you serve. Tell us which suburbs, villages and postcodes you cover, from SY1 to the Welsh border, and where you stop. A Harlescott electrician does not need to claim the whole county to look bigger.
  2. Choose the main action. Calls, quote requests, table bookings, click-and-collect orders, or a link to the booking system you already use. Name the inbox and the number that should receive each one.
  3. Approve every local statement. The business owner approves place names, services, photos, opening hours and any Welsh or other language on the website. We do not invent reviews, results or evidence to fill a gap.
  4. Test the real website first. The free 14-day trial gives you a working website to try on your own phone and laptop. No card is needed, and you can cancel any time.
  5. Send changes when they happen. We run Buzzozo cloud hosting, SSL and software upkeep. Send new prices, menus, market days or flood-day hours to us; anything beyond the plan’s agreed scope is quoted before work starts.

For instance, a Market Hall grocer might put this week’s produce and its trading days first. A mobile farrier working the villages might ask for the village, the number of horses and the best day in its quote form. These are planning examples, not named projects or promised outcomes.

Try your own website free for 14 days, no card needed. If you already have a website, tell us which enquiry routes you want to keep.

What does the fixed £149 a month include?

The Website plan is £149 a month, fixed, for the first 100 businesses, and the price is kept for life. It is monthly with no contract, so you can cancel any time. Our prices exclude VAT where applicable. Larger or more complex websites are quoted. The first 14 days are free, no card needed.

The table compares the plan with what premium providers typically charge when each service is bought separately. These figures are rounded from UK list prices we checked on 28 and 29 October 2026. They are a guide, not a quote, and providers change their prices.

Your Shrewsbury web design questions

Do you have a web design office in Shrewsbury?

No. Buzzozo Ltd is based at 1022 Eastern Avenue, Ilford IG2 7SE and works with Shrewsbury businesses remotely, by phone, WhatsApp and email. We do not claim a Shrewsbury office, branch, local client or visit on this page.

Which parts of Shrewsbury and Shropshire do you cover?

All of them, remotely: the town centre, Frankwell, Abbey Foregate, Ditherington, Harlescott, Battlefield, Monkmoor, Meole Brace, Bayston Hill and the villages beyond. Your own website names only the places your business actually serves.

What does the Website plan cost?

£149 a month, fixed, for the first 100 businesses, and that price is kept for life. Prices exclude VAT where applicable. Larger or more complex websites are quoted, and the plans page lists the full scope.

Can my website have a page in Welsh?

Yes, if you supply the text or approve our draft of it. The business owner signs off every language before it goes live, and we keep each language on its own page so customers land on the one they read.

Can we meet in person?

Usually there is no need: we work by phone, WhatsApp and email, and drafts arrive for you to check on your own phone. If you would prefer to meet, ask, and we will tell you honestly what we can arrange from Ilford.

How does the free 14-day trial work?

We build a real website on our hosting for you to try. The first 14 days are free and no card is needed. Keep it and it stays live on your chosen plan; stop and it comes down, with nothing to pay. There is no contract, so you can cancel any time.
