AI for recruitment agencies that takes the admin, never the decision.
AI for recruitment agencies works best on the admin around placements: answering candidate and client enquiries, taking call-back requests and capturing interview times. Buzzozo builds your agency website with an AI chat assistant that does this day and night, while your recruiters make every decision. Try it with a free 14-day trial, no card needed.

What can AI do for a recruitment agency?
Plenty of the messages that reach an agency are admin. A candidate asks whether a role is still open, what the hours are, or how to send a CV. A business asks whether you cover the roles it needs and when someone can call. An AI chat assistant can answer these from the facts you approve, at any hour, and pass each enquiry to the right recruiter with the details already collected.
Decisions about people are different. Who gets shortlisted, who goes forward to a client, who gets an offer and who doesn't: those calls belong to a recruiter who knows the candidate and the client. Our assistant never screens, scores, ranks or rejects anyone. It answers, collects and hands over to a person.
Admin or decision: where does the line sit?
| Candidate enquiries | Answered from the job details you publish, such as location, hours and the pay you advertise, then passed to the consultant with the candidate's contact details. |
|---|---|
| Client enquiries | A business looking for staff leaves its name, the roles it needs and a good time to talk. Your team calls back; your terms and fees come from you. |
| Phone calls | The assistant doesn't answer phone calls. It takes call-back requests on your website at any hour, and on Website + CRM, from £599 a month, a caller you miss can get a text back. |
| Interview requests | It takes the candidate's preferred times. Your recruiter confirms the interview with the candidate and the client; it doesn't fix times in anyone's diary on its own. |
| Follow-up admin | Every enquiry reaches your inbox with the details collected, so each follow-up starts with the context in front of your team. |
| CVs, screening and shortlists | Not done by the assistant. It does not read, score, rank, shortlist or reject CVs or candidates. A recruiter decides who goes forward. |
| Right-to-work and vetting checks | These stay in your own process. The assistant does not check documents or register anyone. |
What do the ICO and UK GDPR say about AI in recruitment?
A recruitment chat collects personal data, so UK GDPR applies. The Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) publishes the primary guidance. These are the points we build around; read the guidance for your own agency, because this page is not legal advice.
| The ICO has audited AI recruitment tools | In November 2024 the ICO published an overview report on its audits of developers and providers of AI-powered sourcing, screening and selection tools used in recruitment. It recognised benefits for employers and risks to people's privacy and information rights. Our assistant is not a sourcing, screening or selection tool. ICO: AI tools used in recruitment |
|---|---|
| Keep decisions with people | UK GDPR has specific rules for decisions based solely on automated processing, with no meaningful human involvement, that have a legal or similarly significant effect on someone. The ICO updated its draft guidance on 31 March 2026 to reflect the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 and is consulting on it. The assistant makes no decisions about candidates. ICO: automated decision-making |
| Tell people at the time | People have the right to be informed about how you use their personal data. The chat and the enquiry form link to your privacy notice. ICO: the right to be informed |
| Recruitment guidance for agencies | The ICO's draft recruitment and selection guidance is aimed at employers and at organisations that recruit for them, such as recruitment agencies. Its consultation has closed and the final version will be published in due course. ICO: recruitment and selection |
| Agency rules stay yours | GOV.UK sets the rules for employment agencies and businesses. For example, you cannot charge a work-seeker a fee for work-finding services. The assistant does not quote or change your terms. GOV.UK: employment agencies and businesses |
How does interview booking work?
Illustrative enquiry: at eight in the evening, a candidate sees a warehouse supervisor role on your website and asks whether it is still open and whether the shifts include weekends. The assistant answers from the job details you have published, then asks for their name, a phone number or email, and two times they could talk this week. The request lands in your inbox with those details.
The next morning, the consultant calls the candidate and decides whether to put them forward. If the client wants to meet them, the consultant confirms an interview time with both. If the candidate had asked something only a recruiter can answer, such as how their experience fits the role, the assistant said so and added the question to the request.

Buy it piece by piece and watch it add up.
Every part of the Website plan is something UK businesses pay for on its own. Here is what premium UK specialists typically charge for each part when you buy it on its own. Add them up and you get the bill below.
Your plan: £0 upfront, a custom website free for 14 days, no card needed. Then £149 a month at the founding price, kept for life by the first 100 businesses. From £299 a month after that.
How we worked it out: we read published UK web design and website maintenance price guides, and the price pages of premium hosting, certificate, chat and search providers, on 29 October 2026, and took the top of each typical range. Hosting, SSL and chat are priced in US dollars; we show them in pounds at the European Central Bank rate of 28 October 2026 and leave them out of the first-year total, which counts design plus 12 months of care. The guides do not say whether their figures include VAT, so we show them as published. Our prices exclude VAT where applicable. Market prices change, so check before you buy.

Questions from recruitment agencies
Does the AI screen or rank candidates?
No. It doesn't read, score, rank, shortlist or reject candidates or CVs. It answers questions from the job details you publish and collects contact details. A recruiter decides who goes forward, every time.
Can it book interviews?
It takes the candidate's details and the times they can do, then your recruiter confirms the interview with the candidate and the client. It doesn't fix times in anyone's diary on its own. Booking systems are available as Custom work.
Does it answer phone calls?
No. It answers people on your website, in writing, at any hour, and takes call-back requests. On the Website + CRM plan, from £599 a month, a caller you miss can get a text back.
Is the AI assistant included in the £149 a month plan?
Yes. The Website plan, £149 a month at the founding price for the first 100 businesses, includes the AI chat assistant with a monthly usage allowance; top-ups are available. BuzzozoHub CRM, missed-call text-back and booking systems sit in other plans.
What does the ICO say about AI in recruitment?
The ICO audited providers of AI sourcing, screening and selection tools and published an overview report in November 2024. Its automated decision-making guidance was updated in draft on 31 March 2026 after the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025.
Who decides what the assistant says?
You do. We set it up from the facts you approve, such as the sectors you recruit for, the roles you advertise and your office hours. You decide what it knows and who sees the conversations.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. We build your agency website with the AI assistant switched on for a free 14-day trial, no card needed. If you decide not to carry on, you pay nothing for the trial.
