What do fans, promoters and bookers look for on a musician's website?

A fan who has just heard you wants three things fast: more of your music, your next gig and a way to keep in touch. A promoter, venue or wedding planner wants something different. They want your biography, photos they can use, a couple of your best tracks or videos, and how to book you, without hunting through social media.

Streaming and social profiles are useful, but each platform sets its own layout and rules. Your own website puts your music, dates, press kit and sign-up form at one address you control. You can print it on posters and add it to every profile, and promoters can send it on to anyone.

What should a musician website include?

Musician website checklist
Music players fans already useWe add players from your own accounts. Bandcamp lets you create an embedded player from the Share/Embed control beneath an album's cover art, choosing its size, colour and whether it shows the tracklist or your merch. Spotify Embeds put an album or other audio on a website you control, and YouTube explains how to embed a video or playlist on a website.
Gig dates with ticket linksA gigs page with the date, town, venue and ticket link for each show, newest first. We add and change dates from the details you send, within the change allowance on your plan; anything beyond it is quoted before work starts.
An electronic press kit (EPK)One page for promoters, venues, bookers and press: a short and a long biography, press photos they can download, your best tracks and videos, press quotes you have permission to use, a stage plot or technical rider if you have one, and the booking contact. It has its own link, so you can send one link instead of attachments.
Mailing-list sign-upA sign-up form that asks fans to opt in. The ICO's guidance on electronic mail marketing says you must not send marketing emails or texts to individuals without specific consent, for example by ticking an opt-in box, and every message must give people a way to opt out. We build the form to ask for consent clearly. Connecting it to an email marketing service, or sending your campaigns, is Custom work, and we quote it first.
Merch linksEach item links to the shop where you already sell it, such as your Bandcamp page. Bandcamp's help pages say it takes 15% on digital items and 10% on physical goods, with payment processor fees on top; the digital share drops to 10% once you pass $5,000 in sales. A full online store with a basket and checkout on your own site is not part of the Website plan. It is Custom work, and we quote it before any work starts.
Booking enquiriesA booking form that asks for the event date, the town or venue, the type of event and how to reach the person booking, so you have what you need to reply. Enquiries go straight to your inbox, with click-to-call and WhatsApp buttons on every page.
Found on Google and in AI answersOn-page SEO and an AI-search-ready build are included, so search engines and AI assistants can read your biography, gig dates and contact details. Campaigns to rank for more searches are priced per job.

What do you get for £149 a month?

Every part of the Website plan is something UK businesses pay for on its own. Below is what premium UK specialists typically charge for each part. These are general UK prices, not quotes for musicians.

The parts of the Buzzozo Website plan compared with buying each part separately in the UK
What you needBought separately in the UKBuzzozo Website plan
Custom website designA premium UK agency custom design typically costs £2,000 to £7,000 for a small business site, paid before you launchIncluded. Designed and written for your band or act, with £0 to pay upfront.
Managed hosting, SSL, CDN and backupsFrom about £52 to £75 a month on premium managed business plans, plus about £83 a year for a paid SSL certificate, priced in US dollars before taxIncluded. Cloud hosting on 100% renewable power, a free CDN and backups every day.
Updates, security, fixes and helpManagement and security retainers typically cost £150 to £400 a month for a business plan, and experienced developers typically charge over £150 an hourIncluded. We keep it patched, watched and fast, and you talk to real people in the UK by phone, WhatsApp and email.
AI chat assistant on your siteAbout £226 a month on a premium chat plan, priced in US dollars, before AI usage chargesIncluded, with a monthly usage allowance. It answers visitors' questions and takes their details.
Your first year£11,800 for design and 12 months of care alone. Hosting, SSL, chat and changes come on top.£1,788 in total: £149 a month, with every row above included.
Search campaigns (not in either total)Premium AI search and SEO retainers typically cost £1,200 to £4,000 or more a month.Your site is built ready for Google and AI search, and campaigns are priced per job.

How we worked it out: we read published UK web design and website maintenance price guides, and the price pages of premium hosting, certificate, chat and search providers, on 29 October 2026, and took the top of each typical range. Hosting, SSL and chat are priced in US dollars; we show them in pounds at the European Central Bank rate of 28 October 2026 and leave them out of the first-year total, which counts design plus 12 months of care. The guides do not say whether their figures include VAT, so we show them as published. Our prices exclude VAT where applicable. Market prices change, so check before you buy.

Not in the £149 plan: a full online merch store, ticket sales on your own site, connecting your mailing list to an email marketing service, sending email campaigns, and SEO or ad campaigns. These are Custom work, and we quote them before any work starts.

What could a booking enquiry look like?

Illustrative enquiry: a wedding planner finds one of your live videos, opens your press kit and reads your line-up, your set lengths and what you need on stage. They tap "Booking enquiry", add the date, the venue's town and the kind of event, and send it. You get the date, the place and their contact details in one message, and reply with your availability and fee.

Try it with your own music before you decide. Start your free 14-day website trial, no card needed, read about our small business website design, or compare the website plans and prices. To help more people find you in search, our SEO and AI search service covers getting found on Google and in AI answers.

What do we need from you to start?

Send us your logo or band photos, your biography, and links to your Bandcamp, Spotify, YouTube and social profiles. Add your next gig dates with the venue and ticket link for each. Tell us what you want in your press kit, who should get booking enquiries and where you sell merch. Share your existing domain if you have one. We check the copy with you before your site goes live.

Questions musicians ask

How much does a musician website cost with Buzzozo?

Nothing for the first 14 days, and you don't need a card. Then the Website plan is £149 a month at the founding price, kept for life by the first 100 businesses, and from £299 a month after that. Hosting, SSL, daily backups and updates are included, there is no contract, and our prices exclude VAT where applicable.

Can I put my Bandcamp and Spotify players on my site?

Yes. Bandcamp and Spotify both provide embed code for your music, and YouTube does the same for videos and playlists. We add the players from your own accounts, so the music plays from those services on your page.

What goes in an electronic press kit?

Usually a short and a long biography, press photos promoters can download, your best tracks and videos, press quotes you have permission to use, a stage plot or technical rider if you have one, and a booking contact. We put it on its own page with its own link.

Can fans sign up to my mailing list?

Yes. We add a sign-up form that asks people to opt in clearly. The ICO's guidance says you need specific consent before sending marketing emails, and every email must let people opt out. Connecting the form to an email marketing service, or sending campaigns for you, is Custom work that we quote first.

Can I sell merch on my website?

On the Website plan we link each item to the shop where you already sell it, such as Bandcamp. A full online store with a basket and checkout on your own site is not part of the Website plan. It is Custom work, and we quote it before any work starts.

How do I update my gig dates?

Send us the date, venue, town and ticket link and we add it, within the change allowance on your plan; anything beyond it is quoted before work starts. We take past dates off the list when we update it.

Do I need a website if I'm already on Spotify and Instagram?

Those profiles are useful, but each platform sets the layout and the rules. Your own site gives promoters, press and fans one address you control, with your music, dates, press kit and sign-up form in one place, and the domain stays in your name.

How quickly can my site be live?

We build your website free, and it can be live in days once we have your photos, words and links. You use it free for 14 days with no card needed, and you pay only if you choose a plan.
