AI for restaurants that answers while you serve.

AI for restaurants works best on the questions that arrive mid-service: opening hours, the menu, booking requests. Buzzozo builds your restaurant, cafe or pub website with an AI chat assistant that answers them day and night, hands bookings to your team and sends every allergy question to staff. What can AI do for a restaurant, cafe or pub?

The questions come when you are busiest. Are you open on Sunday? Do you have a table for six on Friday? Is there a set menu? Is there parking nearby? Each one is quick to answer, but not with a full room and a queue at the bar.

An AI chat assistant on your website answers these from the facts you approve, at any hour, in writing. Booking requests reach your team with the details already collected. Anything about allergies, intolerances or diets goes straight to a person, because that answer has to come from someone who knows what went into the dish today.

What does the assistant handle when staff are busy?

What the AI assistant handles and what stays with your team
Website chatsAnswered day and night, in writing, from the facts you approve: your menu, prices, opening hours, location, parking and how to book.
Phone callsOur assistant does not answer the phone or speak to callers. On Website + CRM, from £599 a month, a caller you miss can get a text back, where it fits.
Booking requestsIt takes the guest's name, party size, date, time and contact details. Your team confirms the table; it does not fix tables on its own. If you already use a booking system, it can give guests your booking link.
Opening hoursAnswered from the hours you approve, including changes for bank holidays. Keep them the same as your Google Business Profile, where Google lets you set special hours for holidays. Google: edit your Business Profile
Menu questionsWhat is on the menu, what it costs, whether there is a set menu or a children's menu, and when food is served. It answers from the menu you give us, so keep that up to date.
Review repliesStay with you. Google lets a verified business reply to reviews from its Business Profile and checks replies against its content policies. On Website + CRM, guests can be asked for a review after a visit, where it fits. Google: manage customer reviews
Allergy and dietary questionsAlways go to your staff. The assistant does not answer them. It asks the guest to speak to the team, gives your phone number and passes the question on.

Why do allergy questions always go to staff?

Because the answer depends on what is in the kitchen today, and getting it wrong can make someone seriously ill. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) publishes the guidance UK food businesses follow. These are the points we build around; read the guidance for your own venue, because this page is not legal advice.

FSA allergen guidance points for a restaurant website and assistant
The 14 allergensFood law requires 14 allergens to be declared. If you serve non-prepacked food, you must supply allergen information for every item that contains any of them. FSA: allergen guidance for food businesses
Written information and a conversationYou can give allergen information in writing, or verbally with a clear written notice telling guests how to get it. The FSA advises that written information supported by a conversation works best. A chat assistant is not that conversation, so it hands the guest to your staff.
Online and phone ordersFor food sold online or by phone, allergen information must be given before the order is completed and again when the food is delivered.
Cross-contaminationIf you cannot avoid cross-contamination, the FSA says you should tell customers you cannot provide an allergen-free dish. Only your team knows what happened in the kitchen on the day.
What our assistant saysIt does not say whether a dish is safe for anyone, and it does not judge whether a dish is free from an allergen. It says allergy questions are answered by the team, gives your phone number and sends the question to you.

Your website can still carry your written allergen information, which our restaurant website design page covers. The assistant points guests to your staff rather than reading that information out as advice.

How does a booking request work?

Illustrative chat: at seven on a Friday evening, with every table full, a guest asks on your website whether you have room for six tomorrow at eight and whether you are open on Sunday. The assistant gives your Sunday hours, then takes their name, phone number, party size and the time they want. The request lands in your inbox.

The guest also asks whether the risotto contains nuts. The assistant says that allergy questions are answered by your staff, gives your phone number and adds the question to the request. Your team calls back before service the next day, confirms the table and answers the allergy question themselves.

Buy it piece by piece and watch it add up.

Every part of the Website plan is something UK businesses pay for on its own. Here is what premium UK specialists typically charge for each part when you buy it on its own. Add them up and you get the bill below.

Your plan: £0 upfront, a custom website free for 14 days, no card needed. Then £149 a month at the founding price, kept for life by the first 100 businesses. From £299 a month after that.

How we worked it out: we read published UK web design and website maintenance price guides, and the price pages of premium hosting, certificate, chat and search providers, on 29 October 2026, and took the top of each typical range. Hosting, SSL and chat are priced in US dollars; we show them in pounds at the European Central Bank rate of 28 October 2026 and leave them out of the first-year total, which counts design plus 12 months of care. The guides do not say whether their figures include VAT, so we show them as published. Our prices exclude VAT where applicable. Market prices change, so check before you buy.

Questions from restaurants, cafes and pubs

Can the AI answer allergy or dietary questions?

No. Every allergy, intolerance or dietary question goes to your staff. The assistant asks the guest to speak to the team, gives your phone number and passes the question on. It never says whether a dish is safe for anyone.

Does it answer the phone during service?

No. It answers guests on your website, in writing, at any hour. On the Website + CRM plan, from £599 a month, a caller you miss can get a text back, where it fits your venue.

Can it take table bookings?

It takes the guest's name, party size, date, time and contact details, then your team confirms the table. It does not fix tables on its own. If you already use a booking system, it can give guests your booking link.

Can it reply to my Google reviews?

No. A review reply is public and in your name, so you write or approve it yourself. Google lets a verified business reply from its Business Profile. On Website + CRM, guests can be asked for a review after a visit, where it fits.

Is the AI assistant included in the £149 a month plan?

Yes. The Website plan is £149 a month at the founding price for the first 100 businesses and includes the AI chat assistant with a monthly usage allowance; top-ups are available. CRM, missed-call text-back and booking systems sit in other plans.

Who decides what the assistant says?

You do. We set it up from the facts you approve, such as your menu, prices, opening hours and how to book. When your menu or hours change, we update what it knows.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. We build your website with the AI assistant switched on for a free 14-day trial, no card needed. If you decide not to carry on, you pay nothing for the trial.
